After she left, I saw a county truck in the yard, and it was a Building Code Compliance Officer checking on the damage to the cabin next door. We had a nice conversation, and I was happy to hear they aren't going to classify that house as damaged by the flood. He could see that it needs some work, but no major structure problems.
My road has been repaired to where I can drive up to the house, so I can finally get up to the front door.

The river is still low. One of these days I am going to compare this picture to some I took before the flood at low water to see if the rocks have been rearranged.

The flood was six months ago on the 12th, so each day I am thinking of what I was doing on the first days.
