I've had my palm read a couple of times and was told I have some extra-sensory perception (ESP) ability. I have never noticed, except sometimes out of the blue I will think of someone I haven't talked to in ages, and they will phone me. I don't put a lot of stock in that, though, because any number of rational explanations enter in.
Today, though, I was emailing a neighbor, and all of a sudden I thought of Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy. I don't know her very well, or would have asked her if they are having hamburgers for lunch.
But what if that's how my ESP works, assuming I have it? Think of a food, someone who's got it in front of them just thought of me, and the thought made its way to me. So if you had some kind of ground beef dish for lunch today, let me know.
Since the flood, we've often talked about all the new things I've had to learn. Today is is all about cubic yards of debris - how much will fit in a dump truck, what does the debris weigh, and how to move it around.
We will have to haul the debris 5 miles to a county road, a 10 mile round trip, and I have to decide how long that would take since the trucks charge $85 an hour. Fortunately, there should be only two or three loads. There's a lot to it, and I hope the county will step and take care of it, since this debris is right next to their park and they will be cleaning it up anyway.
Best part? It was only going to take me 10 hours to drive back home.
