I just love how they get into the spirit of the season. You too. Okay, I'm going to look for a side dish recipe in the Comer Family Cookbook right this minute - something to go with ham.

We don't have boat parades in Colorado, but there is one neighborhood where the residents decorate their riding lawnmowers and put on a parade.

They look like the best friends a person could have.

It's so nice to hear from you, I've missed hearing about how things are going for you. Now we know, and I'm sending warmest wishes that things will go well for you. One time Janet L (remember her?) wrote something about how she would have long stretches away from MyBloggers, and I told her 'never feel shy about coming back, we'll still be here talking about the same stuff as when you last saw us.'

And you didn't tell us which job you took.

Things seem to have a way of working out for you because you are a good person, so we'll keep a good thought that you'll either settle in and feel better about living there, or something unexpected will take you to a place you like better.

Bears and packages don't appear to be much of a deterrent to some.

It's outrageous that the citizens of the United States should have to consider even the possibility of backlash from the police and fire departments just for expressing their views.

Most of my Facebook experience has been managing a couple of group pages related to our flood recovery. People have to be pretty nice because we can figure out where they live and go over there and slap 'em upside the head if they get out of line. .

Thanks for the update. Very sorry, sorry again (unless it's a relief), and yay! for you. Don't send those pounds my way.

I have too many worries to just fall asleep, so I use John's solution: listen to audio books on my iPod with earbuds, and usually nod off within a few minutes (I set a sleep timer on the device to shut it off). If I decide to leave the light on and read, I have the bedside lamp timer set up with multiple off times so it shuts off every hour (if it's on).

That's great news, and you were smart to ask for help in the parking lot. We all wish a stranger would ask us for help once in awhile, makes us feel good about life in general.

I used to really enjoy Christmas: finding or making just the right gift for someone (in my opinion). My family had a lot of fun opening presents on Christmas Eve. But they all died and I'm stuck with my in-laws who think it is too much trouble to think of other people and what they might like. It ruined the holiday until I reconnected with my cousin out here in Las Vegas and the ones in Texas, and Christmas once again is something to look forward to.

Isn't he old enough to be her father, and yet they have a love interest? At least Clint Eastwood didn't try to pull that one in that fight movie. I'm always leery of a movie that is written, directed, produced and starred in by the same person - feel like they couldn't find more experienced people to take up the project, so had to do it on their own.
