I'm at the SBA (Small Business Administration) disaster center filling out yet another form. And am able to get into MyBloggers because it's a different IP address than the motel.

So, Hello There Everybody!

I have been in the motel since September 25 when I realized my generator battery was dead and I would not have electricity at the house for a long time. I'm pleased to say that I might have power by Monday or Tuesday next week, if nothing else goes wrong.

This doesn't mean we're out of the woods: resumption of phone and Internet are dim promises, and I still have to hike over rough terrain and climb a step ladder to get to my house.

Judging from how high the debris is piled, the water was 20 - 30 feet deep in that corner there. Looking at it, I wish I could have seen it at high water, but on second thought, I'm glad I didn't because it would be so disturbing.



Well, I'd better go, but I wanted to touch base with you all and let you know I'm still around.

Here's where I park my truck, high on the driveway because I don't know how stable the bank is.
