No matter which party has a man in White House, there're days like this.

Yes, Ms. T, the tea party will show up in history books as "the failed Tea Party movement".

I try not to get very political, but liked those square wheels.

Now be nice people--it is YOUR government!!!!! (And if you believe that I have prime property in the The Everglades to sell you!)

It's the politicians' and special interests' government - whatever political party they espouse. We common folk are just pawns in their game.

I agree!

Did you see that news item about the $375,000 (or so) govt grant to a California university to study how ground squirrels react to rattlesnakes? They created a robot squirrel. Seems like that'd tell them more about how rattlesnakes react to the squirrels.

I would like to see at least half the government and its programs be eliminated. No need for them.

I see the round wheels as good ideas, and the square ones as the past four years, thanks to conservatives in Congress.

I got a funny survey yesterday from a barely literate employee of the tea
party, (there were a number of words she was unable to pronounce) and I
rejoiced in giving them my thoughts. They wanted to impeach all the supreme
court justices in Oklahoma for not going along with the personhood bill
making each embryo a person at conception.

In Florida, the Republican Party has injected itself into the retention elections of three sitting Fla. Sup. Court justices, seeking to unseat them because they don't like a few of their decisions. They have brought POLITICS (I use this word as a pejorative)into what is supposed to be a nonpartisan matter and are seeking to destroy the separation of powers.

Remember the John Birch society of the 1960s? They hurt Goldwater's bid for election, and today the Tea Party is hurting Romney's chances.

I'll change Teal's suggestion slightly: The Tea Party Movement!

I just read an article about tea party candidates, and it sounds like that party just dumps on any of their pals if they show the least bit of cooperation with other people of other political leanings to achieve projects for the public good. It reminds me of playground bullies: they just want to make trouble, represent only their own interests, and feed on chaos.

I would re- name that cartoon "Tea Party solutions".

And the Occupy movement that was in the news so much a while ago is a mere shadow now. We Americans are always looking for the newest things.

Looking at the past, the political climate in our country has often been acrimonious and bitter. It seems like the Tea Party is a tiny blip in cosmos and I wonder if it will achieve a sentence in the history books.
