The Fox

Early last evening I saw the fox in the yard. It saw me and ran to the yard next door, where I could see it stalking rodents.

Next thing I knew it was over here outside the dining room window.

Then, it settled down outside the kitchen window and stayed for quite awhile, watching me take its picture.

I think it was still looking for rodents. I hope it caught some.

It is probably shedding its old coat and getting a fabulous new red one. I have only ever once saw a fox. It was a beautiful red one crossing the interstate highway of all things.

There is a ton of information on Google about foxes as pets. Wouldn't advise it with Buddy around. But it's interesting reading.

I used to have three that would come into my yard at night and eat the dog food I put out for the racoons. About four years ago we have heavy rains and their dens got flooded so they left. Now they don't come back because I have coyotes.

It was kind of spooky, as if I hadn't gotten the memo that I'd been adopted by a fox. And now I'm wary about going outdoors. On the other hand, I'll be sorry if we don't meet again.

The eyes were just amazing. See that red patch on the thigh? I think that's the summer coat coming in.

Nice looking fox there.I am not a fan of fox but they are lovely and at time could be dangerous.Look like a baby one there.Thanks for posting this.
