Finally! Some Photos

Here are the white water guys. We were so pleased to see them.

Here is my pretty geranium.

Here is my potato garden. Yukon gold and russets. The russets are about the size of a marble right now, and the others are the size of a small egg.

Here's some of the tomatoes:

How neat. I did not know one could grow potatoes in a planter either!

Apparently potatoes don't need a lot of depth, but ours grew up very tall and seem to need the support of the chicken wire. The wire is to keep the deer out, although I don't know if they eat potato tops.

I didn't know you could grow potatoes in a planter, thanks for sharing.

They seem pretty happy there. I'm going to dig around and see if I can find some for supper tonight.

You will be posting a picture of this mystery sweater, won't you?

There is almost nothing better then home grown fresh from the vine tomatoes. They actually taste like tomatoes! Anyone who doesn't like tomatoes just needs to try a vine ripened one. Or fried green tomatoes are great too. I just said tomato 4 times, wait, now its five.
Great Pics

At this altitude it's hard to get tomatoes to ripen so I'll bring them inside green and hope they ripen eventually. Last year I got only 5 tomatoes, this year many more.

Nice! We have ripe tomatoes already! Usually they are still green in September and ripen in a bag, but this has been a wonderful year for the garden. We're eating squash every night, which isn't too bad since we like it, but you know what they say about too much of even a good thing! Looks like you'll have 'maters soon! Enjoy1

Our zucchinis are very limited this year, we just ate the first one that got to a decent size, and there is one more, but none coming along to replace them. I think it might be the variety, so will try something different next year. Maybe it's alien zucchini from Mars, pod squash masquerading as zucchini.
