Drought Update

I live near Fort Collins. Ms. Honeybugg lives just north of there in Wyoming.

To make really interesting Easter eggs, get some 100% silk fabric, such as ties or scarves. Tie the fabric around the egg and fasten with a rubber band or twisty tie. Put 6 tablespoons water in a pot of water and simmer for 30 minutes. The fabric design will transfer to the egg. Note that the fabric dyes aren't food safe, and you probably don't want to eat the eggs, so you could blow the contents out of the shells before wrapping in the silk.

Those eggs are cool. I hope you get some weather relief!

Doesn't mean hurricanes will hit us--they haven't since Wilma--and I don't mind!

I see that there is no hope for the water bill or the bill for air conditioning to go down. I am sorriest for the farming industry. Last year
people had to sell off cattle because of the lack of grass and water. I
predict sky high beef and vegetables are in our future. The wild fires
are awful too.

I assume the pattern totally transfers to the egg and leaves a bare patch on the silk fabric??

The thing I saw said there was extra dye in the fabric so it didn't totally fade it out, and you could supposedly re-use the fabric for more eggs.

I'm trying to figure out the connection b/t drought & Easter eggs. Maybe as a segue you could have said, "And speaking of drought, here's some cool Easter eggs." I'm kidding, of course.

Maybe coloring Easter eggs is a magical ritual meant to bring rain...

I know, it's a little odd, isn't it? The original title was 'what's in the camera' but then I had these other pictures in my Photo application that didn't come from my camera. And then I wanted to share the craft idea in time for people to make some of those eggs. And speaking of ...

We are dry, dry here!

I just saw where a weather expert has predicted this will be an active year for hurricanes, so wait a bit.
