Cute Turkeys

I think these are cute. I'm not saying you should make them or eat them, just take a little moment to enjoy the whimsey.

This one looks the easiest to do:

These are not intricate, but they look fun to eat. Are those Tic-Tacs? And do Andes wafers come in all those colors?

These are hard to make and that stuff spilling out reminds me of when the cat's dry food doesn't stay down.

I know what you mean - I can just about smell that peanut buttery-chocolate aroma.

I love the first ones made with the Oreos. So cute.

So clever, especially sticking the corn into the filling.

Christmas is coming soon enough. More TURKEY!

You could adopt our Thanksgiving, and we could adopt yours, and make a holiday season out of the time in between.

The ones on the bottom are very creative!

It's funny how all of a sudden cupcakes are such a big deal, and there is no limit to the amount of effort that goes into making them special.

Adorable!

I used to make special dinner rolls for Christmas with turkeys cut out from dough decorating the tops. People bought them from me for their holiday feasts.

These turkeys make me feel sorry for the real ones. I know. I'm a drag.

Makes me feel sorry for the Oreo cookies and peanut butter cups.

I was thinking of you today - you are either laughing because your Thanksgiving is out of the way, or maybe wishing it was here again.

They are terribly cute.

I like the way the ones with eyeballs are googling at each other. The ones without eyeballs look like Little Orphan Turkey.

I don't like 'candy corn' but, nice guy that I am, I will eat ALL the chocolate!!!
comment by greatmartin on Nov 18, 2012 2:43 PM ()
That could be arranged.
reply by troutbend on Nov 18, 2012 6:47 PM ()
The first one has all my favorite candies/cookies on it...so that wouldn't be safe in my house at all. My Mom would totally have to hide them from me.
comment by jaydensblog on Nov 18, 2012 2:35 PM ()
It'd be hard to resist those. If I bought the ingredients to make them, there would be one finished turkey, and the rest eaten as-is.
reply by troutbend on Nov 18, 2012 6:46 PM ()
Ooooh... there are part that I would definitely eat!
comment by jjoohhnn on Nov 18, 2012 1:46 PM ()
Gobble, gobble.

Just think...if Ben Franklin had gotten his way to name the turkey the national bird, we might be eating bald eagle for the holiday.
comment by steve on Nov 18, 2012 1:21 PM ()
Wouldn't that be something, and we could all have eagle feathers in our caps if we wanted them.
