What's in the Camera: Suncoast

The Blue Man Group show has moved over to Mandalay Casino and Hotel. They appeared on the local news to promote it. While one of the anchors interviewed their spokesman (they don't talk when they are in costume), the blue men pestered the other anchor.

We had a free night at the Suncoast Casino and Hotel, golf course view. Isn't it pretty?

There was a gift basket in our room, but turned out it was for someone else. We called the desk because the note on that gift bag said "Bill Smith." That was probably a $50 gift basket: 8 pieces of fruit, 2 large bags of potato chips, 1 good-sized bag of Chex Party Mix, a pint jar of mixed nuts, a pint jar of Hershey's miniatures, 8 granola bars, 4 packages of Grandma's Cookies, at least one bag of Peanut M&Ms. I was impressed because back when we got gift baskets, they were not this nice. I don't know what the gift was because the tissue paper would show that we'd rummaged through it.

I thought that was Matt Damon in the top photo and wondered where you ran into him.

Wouldn't that be exciting? I think he's cute.

Never seen blue men before. I'm afraid I would have wanted to keep the basket too!

The Blue Men left me with a feeling of friendly space aliens come to entertain us, very benevolent.

I saw Blue Man Group umpteen years ago in Chicago. It is very creepy to be by them in the lobby and they don't talk at all, just sort of stand around.

I'll bet it is creepy, I'm afraid I might find myself babbling to fill the awkward silence.

The gift basket looks tempting, I might h ave been bad and kept it.

I have been thinking of making one up from stuff I buy and we'll pretend it was a gift. But that's never as much fun.

ooo how good of you to return the basket!!! So tempting...

It really was tempting. If there hadn't been that envelope sitting next to it with the man's name on it, we might have pretended it was meant for us and let the front desk figure it out. I was hoping that they would say 'thanks for being so honest, go ahead and keep the fruit basket,' but no, they even made us change rooms.

I would have kept the M&Ms!!!
I saw the Blue Men umpteen years ago off-Broadway in NYC!

I used to think of it as three unique guys, but there are any number of different men inside that makeup.

The guy talking to the interviewer looks young -- this must be "sons of blue men".
