Eloise Kitty playing with the mouse that got away. It went under that dresser and she waited hours for it to come out. I think it climbed up inside the drawers (eww) so she gave up and went upstairs for a 6 hour nap. We never saw it again.

The rock in the river? Yes, it does look like a rat. Or a hippo.

Great pix as usual. I like the name Eloise. She is really pretty. I find geckos in my house here and there. I think Max brings them in. They lie really still hoping you won't notice them. I put a container over them and slip a cardboard under to trap them. Then I take them outside. Sometimes I give them a lecture about coming near a place with cats.

We're going to have to play with her extra hard in Las Vegas because there's no mice or lizards there to entertain her.

That first picture looks great--what's that in the 3rd picture?

The third picture is standing on my bridge looking upstream - The Big Thompson River. In wetter parts of the country it'd be called a creek, the water volume is so low most of the time.

That Eloise is one beautiful cat.

She really is pretty, and has a little tiny voice. She mostly makes a little murmur sound, and on the few occasions she meows, it's the daintiest.

We have had to invest in mousetraps due to our "mousers" bringing the little buggers inside, then loosing interest before completing the deadly deed. Peanut butter is a wonderful lure...

Yes, we've got the backup trap stinking of peanuts here in the living room. I think they go in there to escape the cat. I throw the captives into the river where many of them swim to shore, but the fish eat some of them - mouse nirvana, a higher calling.

I'm divided on the mouse getting away.

Just so he didn't crawl into the heat register or the wall and die and make a stink.

Wow that's a real mouse that let you be that close? And to the cat as well? Whoah!

Maybe mice move slower during day light.
