Animal Tracks

We had another beautiful snow storm last night, 7 or 8 inches.

The only tracks in the snow this morning were made by the fox overnight. For the past month he has not been coming here during the day, but I did see him briefly a couple of nights ago. His winter coat is so thick he looks like a 40 pound dog.

I hated to drive through it and ruin the effect.

The tracks were larger, more like a dog's, and they went more places than the fox did during last week's storm. I am wondering if it could have been the coyote.

I love your photos. This is wonderful. Wish I could see a new photo of the fox with his winter coat. Maybe next time?

I'll post the most recent, but I never see him during the day any more. I put a dog biscuit out when it gets dark so the birds won't steal it, and in the morning it is gone. The other night when I did see him, it was too dark for pictures, and he was very skittish, as he usually is after dark.

It does look beautiful---from afar in an air conditioned room in Florida-- don't worry you'll be able to get even with me when I moan and groan about the temps here going below 60!!
