Where the Time Goes

I found a loose Scrabble letter on the bookshelf in the guest cabin, and figured it came from the Scrabble game that was over there. Today I laid out all the letters to see if it did come from there, and were there others missing. They were all there, so this letter B came from somewhere else. I also discovered that some guest had left a box of Scrabble letters that came with stick-on magnets so someone could make refrigerator magnets and spell things.

I was thinking if more than that B was missing from my game, I could replace them from that box. They are slightly different size and shape from the official tiles, so it would probably be like substituting a red card in a deck of blue cards when it came time to draw - everyone would know what letter that was, but what the heck it'd be sort of a wild card situation.

We are having a lovely fall season this year. The leaf change is progressing and we have yet to have a killing frost, with more warm weather on the way. Fire danger is starting to become an issue in parts of the state, and it's coming here tomorrow afternoon. It's when hot weather teams up with very low humidity and starts to get windy.

The fall colors are beautiful. I hate winter and it has just now started to get chilly. I wore a sweater yesterday comfortably in the morning. We got our flu shots and they itch like crazy. Love Jeri

You could replace the missing B and swap another half dozen letters that aren't missing. Then players would have some idea of what they're getting except one could be a Z and not a B.
Our killing frost is supposed to be tomorrow night and we don't have real fire danger although there is a burn ban from March until May.
