
GLENDALE, Ariz. - A U-Haul truck making an interstate move from Arizona exploded Friday morning in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, ABC15.com reported.
"After moving from the house and driving down the road, this particular gas grill may have moved and caused the propane tank to open," said Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos. "The entire back-box area of this truck exploded."
When explosion happened, a tool box was blasted out the rear of the truck, hitting the driver's car that was being towed. A burning mattress also landed on top of the man's car.
The man's personal belongings were strewn along the street where the explosion happened, ABC15 reported. A compact car was next to the U-Haul was also damaged from flying debris in the explosion.
The U-Haul driver and the woman driving the car that was damaged escaped injuries.
The U-Haul driver was moving to Oregon.
