GLENDALE, Ariz. - A U-Haul truck making an interstate move from Arizona exploded Friday morning in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, ABC15.com reported.

"After moving from the house and driving down the road, this particular gas grill may have moved and caused the propane tank to open," said Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos. "The entire back-box area of this truck exploded."

When explosion happened, a tool box was blasted out the rear of the truck, hitting the driver's car that was being towed. A burning mattress also landed on top of the man's car.

The man's personal belongings were strewn along the street where the explosion happened, ABC15 reported. A compact car was next to the U-Haul was also damaged from flying debris in the explosion.

The U-Haul driver and the woman driving the car that was damaged escaped injuries.

The U-Haul driver was moving to Oregon.

Isn't that picture great? Recently there was a house south of Denver literally flattened from a natural gas explosion. It wasn't some old dumpy thing, either, it was almost new. Rendered the neighboring houses uninhabitable, too.

I bet he wished that he had left the propane tank for the next tenant!!
Some baggage is not worth taking with you!

I probably would have made the same mistake if I had a gas grill, but I don't.

I saw a car (one of those El Camino cars with a pickup bed) powered by a huge propane bottle in the bed under a camper shell. It'd be like strapping a rocket onto your back to drive that thing.

I think everyone may leave Oregon!

He was leaving Arizona for Oregon. I wonder if he kept going, or decided to stay.

Maybe it was a sign that he should stay put.

I keep thinking of how much time and care went into loading that U-Haul. Now he doesn't have to worry about unpacking.
