"Give me your tourists, your drunks, your desperate gamblers yearning to win big ..."

Not exactly Lady Liberty's call to generations of American immigrants, but it might be appropriate given the U.S. Postal Service's embarrassing mix-up on its Statue of Liberty stamp.

Turns out the iconic face pictured on the stamp released in December is not the one that stands in New York Harbor but rather the one that stands outside New York-New York casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

No word on whether France will put Paris Las Vegas' faux Eiffel Tower on a stamp anytime soon.

At least it wasn't that other Miss Liberty that used to be inside the casino that was a take-off on Marilyn Monroe's famous pose from The Seven Year Itch, that really would have been something.
