I found this vintage photo to post on Facebook. It could been taken in many of the homes in my Colorado neighborhood, which were all built 70 to 100 years ago as cabins. The irony is that back when this photo was taken in the 1940s these were summer cabins and nobody would have been up there for Christmas. But the people who live there now don't realize this.

I love the nostalgia. I bet it was cold with no heat other than the fireplace.

That's beautiful, but that dripping tinsel is creepy by today's standards! Lol That all seems to have disappeared. Merry Christmas! We'll never forget the kindness you showed us a few years ago! We talk of it fondly.
