High End Car

Here are some cars we've seen around the Las Vegas Strip lately.

This a Maybach, a very high-end German car. The company is currently owned by Daimler. I had never heard of this kind of car until I saw it parked at the Paris Las Vegas casino.

From Wikipedia: "The base price of a 2009 Maybach 57 is $344,000; the Maybach 57 S, $381,000; the Maybach 62, $394,000; the Maybach 62 S, $430,000, and the Maybach Landaulet semi convertible costs just over 1 million.. The Maybach 57 Zeppelin is priced at $580,000 and the 62 Zeppelin at $677,000." I don't know what the current year model costs.

Definitely a case of how the other half lives.

Yes, the little folks (sports and movie fans) filling the pockets of the few.

Ostentatious. It used to be called 'Discretionary Spending.' Now I call it 'bling' syndrome. If I won the 300 million Mega Millions lottery I would trade my 2001 Toyota for a Ford Fusion, not a car that cost over 30k. I would NOT want people to know I had money. Imagine how much a half million dollars would contribute to our national economy!

Isn't something? Here I was thinking a Ferrari was the ultimate, and the Maybach has been around since 1918.
