Yesterday the grocery checker asked if we are doing anything special for Easter. What first came to mind was that holidays usually sneak up on us, and we forget to plan special food for them, and my next thought was the years that our idea of special holiday food for the Fourth of July was to buy a large bag of potato chips. No, I'm not doing anything special meal-wise, but I might make a coffee cake for the guy who works at the local post office.
Mr. TroutBend's bowling leagues in Las Vegas are getting near the end of the season and as the weather there warms up, he is making plans to visit here in Colorado for most of the summer. It's always a little sad because he has to leave the Las Vegas Cat to fend for himself. He can still get into the house through a vent in the garage => cat door => house, and there will be lots of food and water, but we always worry that something will happen to him. We used to have a neighbor there who called him Big Boy and fed him, but she's moved, so we don't know who else in the neighborhood looks out for him.
