From yesterday's Las Vegas Review-Journal:

"Ah, spring. The flowers. The sunshine. The attack birds.
It's that time of year again, when unsuspecting visitors to North Las Vegas City Hall get dive-bombed by birds protecting their nests near the main entrance.
The birds briefly flap their wings and tangle their claws in people's hair, then fly away. They usually target women. No one, including the city's mayor and this reporter, is immune from the assaults.
The city, in recent days, has again posted its large "CAUTION" sign near the entrance, complete with a graphic of a cheerful looking-couple fleeing from a descending bird. Your best bet: Wear a hat."
