Christmas Lights

The reason I'm rushing the season is we are expecting an early snow storm.

I'm in the 12 - 18 inch snow area. It's supposed to start this evening and stop snowing Sunday night, so 18 inches that time means coming down at a good pace.

It's exciting to get this much snow so early in the season. Usually our deepest snow comes in March or April. There will be lots of pretty snowy scenery for Christmas card pictures this year.

My dream is to put Christmas lights on this little cabin for a picture in the snow.

I want to do both sides that you can see, but ran into a glitch because the clips won't stick to the metal roof on that long run to the left. I was thinking maybe cup hooks under the eaves, but that will take more doing than sliding on plastic clips.

Because this storm will provide enough snow to get an idea of what it will look like, this afternoon I decided to take a stab at it to see how far I could get

They do attach on the end part where the door is, but working by myself, I couldn't get a tall enough ladder up there to do the peak. I ended up with lights from the right side to the over the door. Tested them and they work. With help, I can probably complete the end, but not before this coming storm.

To be continued.

Sounds so pretty. It is a bit of a rush to Christmas and I am hating the
early cold weather.
