Now that our weather has warmed up, the snow is melting at a good rate. What melts during the day when the sun is out doesn't show up in the rivers until around midnight, so every night I stay up and watch the gauge at Moraine Park via Internet because that is where the melt first appears and eventually it affects the amount of water in my part of the river, either the same night at midnight, or the next night at midnight.
Here you can see the increase in cubic feet per second (cfs) water flow over the past few days. The triangles represent 30-year averages, and the lines where the lines peak represent midnight.

So far, this has not resulted in flooding, the high water is expected to hit next week if we continue with the current sunny weather pattern.
