Bellagio Flowers

I haven't been to the Bellagio to see this year's Christmas display, but I've seen enough of them to feel like I know what to expect. Here are some photos from years past.

Poinsettias.

This was the 2007 tree.

The small flowers are a variant of poinsettias. They remind me of those little Cairn Terriers.

Last year they had the penguins.

This is the 2010 tree.

We now have "Christmas on Los Olas"--they have snow machines, an ice skating rink made out of some kind of plastic--welcome to Christmas in 80 degree weather!

I've always thought it was funny to go to Florida this time of year and see those lit-up plastic snow men.

Gorgeous! As they always are! I miss many things about living as close to Vegas as I did for 30 years. One of the paramount things I miss is the fabulous brunch at Bellagio. The biggest and the best - in my memory.

We don't have comp points there, so I've never eaten at any of the Bellagio restaurants. Their buffet brunch now is $25 a person on a regular day, $33 for a holiday brunch, but I'd like to try it some time anyway. Maybe when my ship comes in.
