On FB, I like the SPCA so that I can help network dogs and cats all over Florida. My heart breaks every time I look at them. Two of mine were rescues and they are so important to our family. Boaz has been with us 9 years and Judah has been with us 4 years. They are our furkids and I adore them. Judah has a thyroid problem and needs medication. He gets it. Bo has arthritis in his legs and needs medication for that and he gets it. They all get their yearly shots and their vitamins. Their food is good food. I won't skimp on my dogs..not ever. If the label says "made in China" I won't buy a treat or anything else. I'm so picky. These are members of my family. They are my furry children. All of our animals have totally different personalities and they are each so very special in their own ways.
I figured out a long time ago that I would always have an animal in my house. With all the hair and all the other challenges, it doesn't matter because they are family. There are those of us put on earth to truly love an animal and I am truly one of those and so is my husband. Both my sons have inherited this gene. My older son has recently adopted a gorgeous little girl named Talia and my other son has an adorable little girl named Kairi as well as a crazy cat named Axle. If they have children I hope they pass this on to them.
I look at my three guys laying here just warm, well-fed and relaxed and I know they are content. I wish I could take in every dog who needs a warm bed to lie on every night, a cuddle every day and just lots of good food and a family. I wish I could take them all in. Truly my heart is big enough, but my wallet is not. If I win the lottery, look out. I'm going to pick them all up and give them love and snuggles forever!
