Well, you guys know I've sort of given up personal blogging, but it's relatively obvious that I'm hitting my 39th birthday again. Yes, Martin, I'm older than you. One of the things I've noticed is that I am working harder to be more active the older I get. No, I haven't reached the "golden" years yet and I don't even get a senior citizen discount at the movies yet --- disappointing. My sister in law went prematurely grey and she could get one when she was 50! Oh, well, I'll be forever blonde, but I digress. I have more aches an pains. Truthfully, it's hard to admit it, but I do. I even have a touch of arthritis in one of my toes! Go figure! But I'm determined to stay healthy and fit.
In the fall I had a foot operation that really set me back. It upset the balance of all the activity I was doing up till then, yoga and walking. It has taken a while to get back to where it doesn't hurt to walk. Of courses just as I'm almost back, I trip one morning in December and break my toe on the other foot...a setback but now I'm pretty much well. I've been going to the gym, and have started as of today walking outside again. Treadmill is one thing, walking in the fresh air and warm breeze is quite another. I like it.
Anyway, I know I'm getting older, but I'm also getting fitter. My heart is good. I take a zillion vitamins and herbal supplements, all okayed and encouraged by my doctor. Yeah, I'm going to hit a new age, but what the heck, right? I mean in truth...it's just another day!
Have a good one. ENjoy the sun! I am. P.S. I wasn't born in 1911. Just didn't want to put the year!
