Didn't sleep much last night because stormy weather
moved in after midnight, and whooped it up till day-
light.
Really, it was one of those "Dark and Stormy nights."
It sounds like some of the roofing tiles were
loosened up and began to flap with the accompanying
40 mph gusts. The wind had blown steadily for the past
24 hours. Pine pollen now forms a yellow coat on my
car.
But this storm wrought a miracle. By this afternoon, the
minature pink azealeas burst into bloom, the grass has
greened up, violets are underfoot everywhere in the yard,
and my container of radish and lettuce seeds sprouted
up. I swear they hadn't even broken the surface of the
dirt yesterday.
Warm weather isn't here to stay yet, though. It's
supposed to get down in the high 30's-40's tonight. I'm
just so happy to be alive to see another Spring, and
enjoying it so much, stormy weather and all. Susil
