Last night Dottie phoned, excited, to say it was gonna snow. So late in the evening she phoned and said big wet snowflakes were falling at her house. She is a Michigan native, so snow is an element she's used to, and misses. I went out on the carport but saw nothing except a cold icy ploppy drizzle of rain.
Sometime in the wee hours, it did snow a little. This morning at daybreak, went out and saw remnants of snow on tree stumps, and melting off the roof. Dottie says several times today the Weather Channel has shown shots of Hattiesburg where people were scraping snow off the grass, and playing with it.
Well, it's pretty but I wouldn't want to live where you would have to shovel snow and scrape snow off your windshield etc. I guess people who live with snow think they have a fair trade off--they have snow and learn how to put up with it, while we have hurricanes and do the same. I want to find the perfect place where there's neither!
