I don't like these made up holidays, like Mother's Day. At least though, my two daughters and I are back on speaking terms. They both sent Mother's Day cards and phoned yesterday and we had a nice chat.
But I'm one of the curmudgeons who think all the made up holidays are what the florists and Hallmark cards live for. I can just picture ad men sitting around Hallmark Cards conference table trying to think up new holidays to entice people to buy a card.
