I just learned that WhiskeyTango might be coming over to mybloggers!! I've been asking him to do this, but understood that he had many subscribers on the other site. He has an enormous number of hits over on Blogster (over 203,000+), plus he's been pretty busy lately. He just said that he came to look mybloggers over and may come here soon! Now, isn't that exciting news?? I can't wait!!
On another note, I have pretty much not been exchanging views with people for some time now. I found it to be a very relaxing time. I was able to read at leisure and not feel the pressure to leave a message. I learned a lot more about my friends here. I learned some amazing things about you all. Enormously significant things... If you wander about reading and poking around, you'll learn the things that I did! You'll be amazed!
I will be back for certain in June... maybe... If I see Wayman here, I'll be back then, of course. Wayman is a true scholar and gentleman, even though he mainly posts jokes (and some of them are mainly for guys). Those of you who don't know him, pay him a visit when you see him.
One last thing... It's pledge week on PBS, so a lot of music shows will be playing. I think that's where I heard a lot of the older songs. I just heard the beginning of a song called, "Maybe" which is on my REALLY OLD player. It's on a show about Doo-Wop. I think those songs are really old... but some of the singers are still alive (or were when they made this film). They'll also have a Celine Dion special and a lot of other specials like Queen and the Righteous Brothers. In the past they've had the Roy Orbison special, the Beach Boys specials, the Guess Who, John Fogerty, ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, and all of the ones that you have probably seen also. Since we only watch the news and PBS, I've seen almost all of the music shows. The one that just finished was one on Glenn Miller. The main problem with jazz was that a lot of the pieces had no words (my preference); also, my husband doesn't like brasses that much... he likes strings and piano in instrumentation.
