Key Device

I often lose things. This is a normal part of my life. I spend half of my life looking for stuff that I've lost. My husband, on the other hand, NEVER loses things. Except... the other day, he misplaced his keys. I misplace my keys almost every day. Anyway, we spent a lot of time looking for his keys. Then we decided to get something that would help us to find our keys. (He will never lose them again... I know it!)

Anyway, we found some key finders on the web . They have numbers on them. If you press any number, your device with that number will beep. It beeps long enough for you to kind of tell in which direction it is located. I can't wait to lose my keys now. Then I will test it out. All of the finders can call any of the others. We have four of them. This is much better than calling your dog or cat and then hope that it shows up!

And, you don't even have to clap to find them! That's what the advertisement said... So, if there is a clapping sound, for instance like on TV, the beeper won't go off. That's a plus. Well, good luck to me. I hope these things work. They worked when we tested them, but will they work when it counts? Time will tell.

Well, it seems as if there's something (probably a crumb) under the X key on my keyboard. Now where is that can of compressed air? I mean it's not some tiny little thing... It's a large can of spray! I know it's not in the fridge... It could be anywhere else, though.

Does this whole conversation sound really familiar? It does to me.

I trained myself to put my keys [when I had some] to put them in either two places…my workbag or hung off a kitchen hook. Really miffed me when I forgot my training and had to backtrack in everything I did when I last had them…

Maybe leave the device in yer car, because Sistah if yer lose yer car well...

Yes, but you're perfect in every other way, right?

If it were me, I probably lose the key-finding device as well as the darned keys! I too am awfully absent-minded at times! But that's okay; so was Albert Einstein. He would get so wrapped up in deep thought sometimes that he would forget to do essential things...like putting on pants before walking out into public.

Well, it's good to know that if you have the cheerleading sqaud in your living room all your won't be screambeeping!

I keep three sets of keys, One on the wall in
the dining room, one IN my pocket and one on my belt loop.
One time I went to church and left the ones from the belt
loop at home. Got to church, got out and locked the keys
inside. Called my daughter to bring the spare set.

My best trick is to keep them in a bright colored coin purse. They are easy to locate that way.
