A heavily armed man entered a movie theater in suburban Denver early
Friday and opened fire, killing at least 12 people and injuring 50
others.

The incident, which took place about 12:30 a.m. at the Century 16 movie theater in Aurora, Colo., occurred during
midnight screenings of the new Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises."

I have a neighbor who was convinced Obama was going to come after his guns. This was in 2008 just after the election. It never happened. He thinks it will. The gun lobby is very strong. We are beaten back by big money. The times are not encouraging. This is part of the bigger strangle-hold the Right has on the country right now.

Support for gun control has dwindled from 80+ to 40+ percent. Did you notice that when both Obama and Romney addressed the shooting, neither mentioned gun control?
