My congratulations to Bama, Oregon St., and Ole Miss for making Oklahoma's life a whole lot simpler.  To all my friends whose teams lost, I've been there too,  but hope springs eternal in the heart of the true football fan.  
And the season is far from over.  The Sooners have some tough games ahead, including Texas, which will probably move into the top five this week; Texas Tech, also a ranked team, and prossibly Mizzou, which is also in the top five.  We also must meet Kansas, winners  last year of the Orange Bowl.
Just about everyone hates the Sooners unless he loves the Sooners.  We become the "big game" for every team on our schedule.  Beating Oklahoma is tantamount to many teams of winning a bowl game.
But let me say here and now that our quarterback, Sam Bradford, is a genuine Heisman Trophy candidate.  I'll take him over Tim Tevoe any day of the week. 
Sam is one quarter Indian, which makes him an Oklahoman in the best sense of the word.  He also happens to be a 4.0 student.
