Well, we are officially into the holiday season now; and it began with a tragedy. Most of you probably read yesterday of the employee trampled to death at a Wal-Mart store in New York.
Black Friday truly was black when shoppers, impatient that Wal-Mart did not open promptly at 5 a.m. as promised in its ads, broke down the doors, stormed into the store, killing one employee and sending four others to the hospital.Â
This Christmas will be slim in many homes this year, including ours. Kenna and I are consolidating our efforts to try to provide gifts for our family. Since both us were laid off our jobs back in September, we are making many of them.Â
I am also moving in with her so that I can help her pay bills and not lose her house.  But, we will survive. We both have been through tough times before and made it through.
The Lord always provides and looks over us; and we maintain our faith that he will continue to do so.
Whatever your circumstance this holiday season, I send my sincere blessings to you and yours with the hope that the new year will be better for us all.
As to Black Friday... it is ridiculous and we should get rid of it, but you know it will always be with us...
