4.5 stars. Great acting, fascinating story. Meryl did a fabulous job as the evil nun, we are left with our own doubts about the story and it's players!

I t seems I am the only one in the world who is not 'thrilled' by either Streep or Hoffman in whatever movie they make--I can see them 'acting' and I hate that.

When it first started out, I thought it was going to be about a mean nun. I think it's one of my favorite movies just for the acting. Phillip Seymour Hoffman just amazes me because he's a beefy guy, but in the role of Truman Capote in that other movie he somehow conveyed the idea he was a twerpy little guy - it was that pirouette he did to show off his outfit at a hotel in Kansas.

Toby Jones at the same time made a better movie playing Truman Capote and he should have gotten the Oscar!!

I enjoyed the movie a lot.Hoffman as always plays a great character in his films.I did not see the play and had doubt.

Hadn't heard of the play but loved Hoffman in this role. He really is an amazing actor.
