After reading Jondude's blog about the 3tril debt, and wondering how the heck our kid's generation will be impacted by the economy, etc... I pine for the good 'ol days. Like Looserobe's comment, hah! I've become my mother, my grandmother, and Methuselah's mother.
Isn't this amazing? Wow!
Bruce is beautiful. You're such a sweet mama!
Ew. Just looking at these makes the fish oil tablets in my kitchen restless!
What? Yet another Peeps makes the 7 Wonders of the World! Amazing!
I thought the problem was on my end, b/c we just had Time Warner cable installed, but wow, wasn't impressed w/the "speed" or lack, thereof...now I know it wasn't my computer connection.
Good list, JD. It's almost 90 here in S. Pas. But inspired by you (once again) - here's my response: 1. I cut my hair 2. It was 80 degrees at 11am and sunny as all get-out 3. It never snows here in S. Pas... 4. I was hungry until we ate top sirloin and salmon steaks 5. I saw a teeny squirrel capturing the hearts of people walking by... 6. When cats are freed from their apartments, the squirrels take a hike 7. Thursday, I bought a book of Forever stamps... 8. Friday, I mailed off 3 cards to loved ones 9. Saturday, I packed up my art bag and drove to the South Bay 10. Tonight, I blog. 11. Tomorrow, I hand-write letters to loved ones. 12. Monday, I call the Aquent Agency.
Well. A popular drink is Jack and Coke... although it's too tough for me. I don't need hair on my chest, but I do know it works for many of my male compadres.
Oh, dear one. Mail your daughter a handwritten letter stating that which you said in this post. No matter what state of mind she was/is in - it is a tangible piece of paper or two, that she can read, re-read, and then dwell on. Once she knows your heart of hearts, she will respond in her own time. In that respect, none of us parents can dictate. Meantime, be patient and take heart. Your other daughter may shower invaluable insights on your relationship. I can only think of you as a wonderful papa, although I'm limited from what I know of you via these blogs. If I were one of your daughters, I'd be thrilled knowing that you cared so much about me.
