I've been at this weight loss thing for just under 5 months. My official weigh in is tomorrow, but it looks like I've hit just over 30 lbs. lost! HOORAY! The going is slower, but I'm staying active and healthy. I'm eating lean meats and fruits and vegetables. I'm getting in healthy oils and whole grains. I'm taking my vitamin almost every day. I'm getting in my dairy. Here are a few things I could not live without:
- Greek Yogurt - this stuff is magically delicious. Screw Lucky Charms
- chicken/turkey sausage - almost as good as its pork counterpart, but with less fat
- seasonal fruits and veggies - who knew that jicama, spaghetti squash, honeycrisp apples, and blackberries were addictive?
- whole wheat pasta - what else would I pair with that delicious sausage?
There's the short list. I'm going to post some measurements soon so that I can see my progress thus far.
What are some items you can't live without when you're eating healthfully?
