Got a lot done the first two days of the week. Had a CD that came due Monday. It is disheartening when you have to renew at a lower rate. But you can't take it with you.

Then Tuesday, I had a doctor's appointment to see about all the swollen legs, funny feeling head, and "chuggedd up" chest. I couldn't believe it, but the leg had gone down to normal by the time I got to the doc. And she checked me out all over and only came up with a red throat - which she ignored. She said all the vitals came out okay - the chest and lungs were great. And gave me a card for the Neurologist to see about the "funny" feeling head. I came home and just sat down and went to sleep. Guess, I didn't need a doctor after all. And I am one that has to feel I am dying before I go to the doctor.

Last night, I took Benadryl, that should take care of the congestion and red throat soon. I also slept like a log. It does that to you.

My grand kids are coming this week end and I don't know what kind of food to get in. They are from babies to teen-agers, and gs that isn't supposed to eat much protein. He does when he visits, but I try to take care of him.

Sister is having a time walking today. I am having to push her. We hired a nice lady to come in from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. starting next Monday - can't figure out why we didn't let her start immediately. Dumb us!! She will be here to get her up and do the bathing, etc. I think I can handle the afternoon for a while longer. I am feeling good - after the doc's visit. Ha!!

Want to sew and hate to cut things out, but that's the first step. Wish I could hire someone to cut out for me.

Can't believe August will soon be here. Just hope the hurricane season continues to be good to us and skips Houston this year. Everyone has not recovered yet from Ike.
