My sister somehow found a BestBuy a couple of months ago that had Wii’s in stock. She bought one and I just have to say one word about it … awesomeness (not even sure if this is a word.)
After reading some great reviews about Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, I decided to head over the the local Costco and see if they had it there.
The parking was horrendous, it felt like a holiday because of the crowds, and I was starting to think maybe it was a bad idea to come here today. So I luckily found a parking spot and headed on in. As I approached the video game section, I noticed that they didn’t have a wide variety of games they were offering.
As I scoured through them I finally saw it, “Yes, they have it and it’s only $24.00 (U.S.)!†as I thought to myself.I grabbed it and drudgingly walked to the registers, which was annoying because the lines were long. But thankfully the ladies in front of me let me go first because they noticed I only had 2 items. Thanked them after I finished and headed on home to play with my new game.
The soundtrack to the game is wicked nice. I want to download the music, it’s calm, yet eerie at the same time. The controls are really fun to use. To open certain doors, I would have to grab a lever, pull it towards me, turn it 90° to the left or right, and push it in, all using the Wiimote. For me, the only thing that’s difficult to do is the shooting part.
Not really accustomed to it yet so the nasties are constantly shooting at poor me. The story line so far has been quite exciting. Haven’t really played it enough to give it a review. But for the 2 hours that I did, I’m giving it a nice 9/10.
If you haven’t gotten the chance to experience this game, please go out, go to a friends house, do whatever. You won’t be disappointed, unless you’re not a big Metroid fan .. .
