Hot, because temps were over 100 Monday, and supposedly 99 today, (though it sure felt hotter!) My car started overheating yesterday, but only when I use the air conditioner. Great. So I haven't been using it and I sure do miss it.

MIL's feet and calves were swelling yesterday so she set an appointment with her Dr. I took her there, but found out he'd only intended to do a phone apt. Since we were there, he saw her in person. I think it was a good thing he did. He then ordered a bunch of tests.

I think he assumed we'd go right over to that department but I had to go pick up my daughter so we dashed over to the school, to wait for her. I usually wait with the air conditioning on. Though I picked a shady spot, we were really cooking! We went home, grabbed a bite to eat, then went back for the tests. (All without air conditioning, mind you).

We were able to do the lab work, but unfortunately the EKG dept. was closed by the time we got there. I felt bad. Hopefully no harm will be done if we wait till tomorrow. I suspect her swelling may have something to do with the heat, though the Dr. didn't say anything about that. I think he ordered these tests just as a precaution.

Anyway, in spite of the heat, we had a pretty good day. It was good to focus on something besides my house for a change. MIL is pleasant company. I should be enjoying her every moment that I can! I gotta get this stupid house off my plate so I can join the human race again!
