Bet You Don't Have a Collection of These ... .

This is just a fraction of the dead things we've got in our family room. I'm picking out the best ones for Hubby cuz he wants to keep them. The rest will have to accept their final resting place in the landfill. There's probably a law against it...(Please don't tell!)

The excavation continues, with my daughter and I making great strives yesterday. We focused our attention on the part of the house that we live in as we were expecting my son and his girlfriend to come for a visit. I thought they were coming at the end of the month but I had it all mixed up. My son called Friday night to tell me they'd be here Saturday night!

I'm so proud of us! We worked our fannys off! The house isn't exactly "House Beautiful", but it's certainly an improvement from what it was. I was so glad when they arrived, partly because I was glad to see them, but mostly because I was so glad to finally be able to stop and sit. Haaagh!

They went to San Francisco for the day and I'm taking this time to crash. It is the day of rest after all. We went to church already and for one day I'm gonna try not to think about all the stuff that still needs to be done. Well, that's all for now. I think I'm gonna settle in for some serious TV watching and some luxurious nodding off.

Oh, nasty things. If they were in my house, I'd be nudging them toward the trash, and then they would mysteriously find their way into the trash. "Gee, I don't know, honey. They must be around here somewhere... I'm sure they'll turn up."

Hahaha! I've used that one before.

Since he specifically asked me to save them, I picked out some prime samples and put them in a safe corner of the garage. I didn't want them to break accidentally, yuck! The rest are going out on the next garbage day!

Well you could always donate to some school biology class...unless they don't do dissection anymore.

I actually thought about that. I'm pretty sure they do. I haven't actually put them in the garbage can yet so perhaps I'll put the word out and see if any need surfaces.
Thanks!
