We're still very much in love with our new kitty but sometimes her affectionate ways can be annoying. I cannot sit down anywhere, even for a moment without her jumping on my lap. When she nuzzles and purrs, I do enjoy her. When she begins her long grooming routine, well, not so much. Sometimes I would simply rather hold a laptop than a cat. And sometimes I just want my body to myself!

So, when my poor dejected little kitty found one of the sheep skin car seat covers that were destined for the thrift store and made herself at home, I decided to make her a bed of her own. I put the sheepskin in a basket and put the basket next to my chair so I could reach down and pet her. Well, she loves it! I do too.
