Today was actually a day of surprises. At work, we were all sneaking streaming video on our computers so we could watch the Inauguration today. Just as the streaming tied up, my phone rang, and it was Ray. He was in the area of the library and was curious about whether it was almost time for my lunch. It actually was.
He had packed a surprise lunch and wanted to share my lunch hour with me between his bus runs. The timing was perfect, and it really was such a great surprise. We were able to relax in the staff lounge and talk as we ate.
Sometimes it is the simple things that make life special.
