You all have to blame Janet for this one. She ran across the idea on Meranda's blog and she assigned a letter to me. The goal is to list ten things you like starting with the same letter. Janet decided that I should have fun with coming up with items starting with the letter "N." If you are interested in playing I would be happy to come up with a letter for you. So, without further ado ... these are some of my most favorite things:

1. Nutter Butters - Those are those really yummy peanut butter sandwich cookies. Heck ... who am I kidding. I like anything with peanut butter. As you can guess, I am really suffering with the current recall on peanut butter products.

2. Noel - I am not sure what it is about the holiday season, but I really get a spring in my step. Everything seems just a little bit easier. Everyone seems just a little bit happier and nicer. It is just nice.

3. Newspapers - Whether it is the news stories covering international, national, statewide, or local stories, I like to read the newspaper every day. In fact, I read two of them daily plus another weekly one. I also love doing the crossword puzzles and the jumbler.

4. Nicknames - One thing that W and I have in common is that we both really like nicknames. I am always assigning them to people. In fact, I almost never call people by their full given name. I either end up changing it or giving them a totally new name that is unique to them. I, for the life of me, can't tell you why!

5. Novels - It is probably no surprise to most of you that I love to read. I do like to read non-fiction, but I really have a weakness for stories.

6. Nieces and Nephews - Ray and I don't have any kids of our own so we really like to take advantage of the fact that we have nieces and nephews. For now, they are really the closest thing we have to be with kids on a regular basis. We take them to the zoo, the children's museum, and other places all the time.

7. Nightclubs - I like to go out every once and a while and just enjoy dancing, karaoke, and having fun with my friends.

8. Neatness - Imagine that! I like things neat and orderly. Everything has its place, and it really bothers me when things aren't where they belong. I have been working learning how to let go.

9. Neckties - I know that most people hate ties, but I h ave an addiction to them. I love to buy them, and I even don't mind wearing them. They just seem to be a great way to express yourself because there is a tie for just about any mood.

10. Neighborliness - I think it is really an important thing for everyone to give back to the community they live in. It allows us all to contribute and make things the best they can be.

I know these aren't the greatest, but I was struggling with coming up with "n" words for some reason.
