Ray made a call last week to our cable company last Wednesday and foud out that we could upgrade our cable box on our big tv, which is high definition capable, to and high Def box. It didn't cost any extra money so we did it.
In the process, we have found the gift of DVR, or the digital video recorder. It is kind of like a high-tech VCR. What is cool is you can set it up to automatically record all of your favorite television shows by only selecting them once!
I have been spending a lot of time enjoying the Olympics in full digital clarity. It is amazing how much clearer things look. It is almost like I am in the arean or on the field with the athletes! It is just so cool
I know ... it is just another tech toy, but you know me and the toys. The good news is that it is just for free. As another benefit, we learned we got access to HBO as part of the deal, which means I am going to ge to watch True Blood, the new series based on the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris that is start in September. Of course, I will have to record them because Ray is not going to watch a show centering around vamps, but I already know how easy that will be.
We can even tape something while watching something else on another channel! How cool is that?!?
