I have a story that has a bad twist on the idea of Lost and Found. After the conclusion of the Victorian Holiday last night, Ray and I were running around grabbing the various signs that we put up highlighting the sites that were participating in the holiday celebration. We were in a bit of a rush because when we were done, we were supposed to go to one of the Victorian homes for an organizer party.
Getting the signs were a lot of jumping out of the car and throwing them in the trunk. It wasn't hard, but in the process, I seem to have knocked my cell phone case off of my belt. I did not realize it. In fact, I assumed that I just misplaced my phone while changing when we got home. I was pretty tired.
Well, when I got home from work this afternoon, I decided to jump onto the site to check my computer just to make sure it wasn't being used in case the phone wasn't hiding in some corner of the household.
The good news is that the person who found my phone decided to only make four phone calls. Three were domestic so my minutes, which I never use up, will cover that. It is the 4th call that will add a bit to the bill. The person spent 22 minutes on the phone with someone in Brazil, which is resulting in almost $22 in fees.
I immediately decided to call my service. They were able to put a hold on the plan. All I will have to do is stop in at the local T-Mobile phone to get another phone. I will even get a discount on the new phone because of the situation.
In the process, I have decided to upgrade the service. Ray doesn't have a cell phone, and it would really be a lot easier if he had one so I am going to convert my plan from an individual one into a family plan. That will add some more minutes and make sure he gets a phone. Now, there will be no escaping calls from me!
I just hope this all doesn't end up wasting a huge chunk of my lunch hour.
