I know that most of you have been enjoying a beautiful holiday weekend. It has not really worked out to be that way for me. For one thing, it was my rotation to work on Saturday, and today is the last Sunday the library is open until school kicks off again in the fall. As a result, tomorrow (the actual holiday) is my only actual day off.

To make things even more fun, I seem to have gotten some sort of lung infection. At least, that is what I think it is. I tend to have a lot of trouble with the change of seasons in the Spring as my allergies kick in. I really love that time of year when it comes to temperatures and such, but the irritation of my allergies seems to lead to an annual bout with a sinus infection. I have avoided it this year, though.

When I first met Ray, I had my one and only bout with a lung infection. It is a viral thing so they really can't do anything for you except treat the symptoms, which is mostly just annoyingingly sharp pain when you get into a certain position. That means just trying to ignore it most of the time because I hate taking pain meds.

Yesterday was the worst of it. I was in agony for most of the day. It has been interesting, though, because the pasty-eyed feeling I get from my allergies makes me feel really tired. I actually dozed off on the Reference Desk for a few seconds yesterday morning. Fortunately, no one seemed to notice.

I am feeling much better today! So between work and feeling pretty crappy, I have not been in the mood to do much blogging. Sorry for being MIA.
