He's the nicest, sweetest dog, and I'm touched to see his hair laid out like that.

How exciting! Growing crops is one of those things a person gets better at every year, so even if these are a little late, next year it won't be an experiment, it'll be a sure thing.

We ate at an Olive Garden in Las Vegas and it was excellent - well-prepared food, great service. I think all those chains are at the mercy of the local labor pool's skills.

With all the shenanigans that our allegedly patriotic and 'Christian' and 'moral' public figures including the Wall Street crooks have pulled off lately, whatever Jane Fonda might have been perceived as doing all those years pales in comparison.

I'm with you on not liking to order at a counter, especially with the sticker shock.

It is like pulling teeth on projects like that and there's nothing wrong with Jon and Kathy's Cookbook with additions from the rest of the family. Your recipes alone are valuable.

I'm just befuddled about it, and wonder how many other lowlife characters are going to try to use this as a template for the perfect crime. As usual I'm not watching the TV news to know what's being said about it today. I enjoyed watching the live video of the trial, what the various witnesses said and so forth, although I only watched the last few days of it. I got interested when my used-to-be friend was on the stand as a forensic botanist.

Isn't that wonderful? I'm going to listen to their call online and next time I'm around the mockingbirds, I'll listen to see if they incorporate it in their repertoire. We don't have quail here that I know of, but there are some down at my uncle's where I'm going this week, I'll let you know if I see them.

Those sunflowers are superb! And nice that you have them as a reminder of Tuscany.

I know it's not funny, but it really is. She should talk to Rent a Wreck about leasing by the year, new cars are wasted on her.

Just from the title, before I even started reading, my first uncharitable thought was 'now he'll get an idea of what it's like to the be the sick one.' Of course, your bout lasted much longer and was more debilitating, so he didn't have time to really figure it out. Well, anyway, glad to hear he's better.

You know, that drum carder DOES look like a hydroscreen, and vice versa! Congratulations on your professional status. I am blown away by that marigold hank. Like you say, it's better to sell your things locally because no shipping to do, and you can address any problems/questions/requests in person. Also, you can see what sells and what it sells for so that helps your marketing on Etsy. The yarn shop here was looking for help, required a 'prolific knitter.' You are the only prolific knitter I know. I don't have the skill or patience to help someone with their knitting. The other day I told someone I thought was being particularly obtuse to 'just pack up your knitting and go home and think about what you're doing, maybe it'll come to you.'

Contrasted with Paton's yarn's response to your letter, it's even more impressive. Working on my mohair sweater in a variegated wool/mohair yarn from Brown Sheep, one of the fronts started patterning up. It wouldn't have looked too bad, but continuing with the next ball didn't do it at all, it maintained a random pattern. Since I'd never be able to replicate the pattern on the other front, I ripped it out and marked that ball of yarn as not trustworthy when it comes to the design.

As more and more of my family and friends sign up for Facebook and provide their email password so it can 'help find your friends' I receive more and more spam purporting to be from them. If it acts like a virus and looks like a virus, it's still a virus.

It seems like 20 or 30 years ago when the mainstream 'discovered' yogurt we heard too much about it and it was all the thing in recipes. Now, it's a stand-alone snack, and some of the varieties are probably too calorie-laden to be good for people, sort of dummied down to the lowest common denominator. Let's try to picture the dairy case without all those yogurt products - many linear feet.
