last time a saw a spinning wheel in use was at a vintage museum , it was a very quiet day no one else around and i went into a slab hut , not expecting any one else around i had a bad fright when i saw a lady in period dress was spinning away , thought i saw a ghost

Was visiting my mother in hospital when i was asked by 2 doctors to leave so i waited outside but could hear what was said . they asked how she was feeling and how old she was , 86 mum said , they then asked her if she had had a good life , then went on to say her kidneys were really bad and to keep her alive she would have to have dialisis which would be painful and costly , owing to limatations on who could be treated with good outcomes , they would leave it to her to refuse treatment and they would make her as comfotable as possible to the end.
to look at mum you would not think there was anything wrong with her , but she died next day

WOW!! thats a lot of horses we have more camels than horses in the country , more than Arabia , watched a movie based on true advents awhile back, when the U S cavalry changed from horses to tanks etc, Douglas Mc arthur ordered that all horses be shot owing to lack of money to feed them , after seeing 100 horses machined gunned , their handlers drove the remaining 400 odd to Canada to save thier lives.
they thought as serving members of the armed forced they deserved a better retirement .
