Finally Easy Cap is Working

Ever notice how swearing be it loud or silent makes things seem or even makes you feel better, it even make you calm down a bit lol.
well after a few more hours looking for answers for things that are not in the manual , thinking you have it and then download it , then find in doing so you have a heap of other stuff that you get as well, wrong answer--- and then remove at that and start again
Managed to get it working this morning and saved a tape to my documents . HOORAY at last , no bloody way it did not have audio, bugger bugger bugger.
Started from scratch and found the options page after you set capture , in their you have to go to audio and tell it to play audio when capturing , ok done that and tried capture again , this time I had sound as I could see it playing on screen. I let it run for ten minutes --stopped and saved video , when I played it back was good EXCEPT for drum being played in the back ground that's when I gave it away for awhile i shut it down , deleted what was recorded and forgot about it till after dinner .
Tonight I stared the program again and looked in all the settings, in one I found 3 speaker symbols which I was able to open , they all played drum , managed to delete them then captured video again for 5 minutes saved and played,
this time all went well. even managed while I was checking settings to make it save in mpeg 2
Am all set for tomorrow to make first full copy of VHS to dvd --- is it the lull before the storm I hope not

Do you have the expression there: 'You have to hold your mouth right?' It means the steps you have to take are so intricate and tricky and illogical, how you arrange your face has something to do with success.

I have never heard of that expression ... going now to study mouth holds.

Came bloody close mate , but perseverance paid off , have the 1939 version of Mikado on the pc , now to burn to disc. Have to get larger disc as it goes for 2 hrs and 45 minutes

Utube was very handy , was difficult to find one that was doing the same though, most were doing it on windows 7 , but my drivers would not take it . Finally got it working in XP, the manual doesn't cover all questions ie how to set controls--- audio and time

Sounds like a nightmare -- the techies who invent the programs design for each other, not for the average user. They live in their own world and don't realize that if they made things simpler, THEY WOULD MAKE MORE MONEY.

After this and sorting out the manual I total agree
