Having an Education

OK ! try putting those kid toys together when at a party after you have given a gift , it too 2 grown ups to get a car ride together over an hour with the instructions , I wasn't one of them lol
But fair dinkum how many things, gadgets etc etc have you tried to sort out and it became a problem,
those cheapies you buy at stores and not so cheap stores that come as flat packs are another that can make the blood pressure elevate .
Post a how to in google and it takes time to find an answer
then when you think you have it sorted it isn't the one you want after all
This easy cap capture device is just one , for instance all I wanted to do was save some great vhs tapes so you find the program , try and install it umpteen times before you find out its not for windows 7 but there are drivers in help pages that so they say will make it compatible ,
After numerous failures you give it away and proceed with your old XP and it downloads great , it even captures and saves one tape , play it back and I have Gene Krupa lol in the back ground .
Check manual, no bloody audio info at all see what I mean you just have to have the right education , where's the bloody hammer lol .
At long last I have it working ok if I could have I would have bought the video and saved my self the trouble , and they say your never too old to learn

Comments:

The kits I got when I was a kid were poorly made -- the pieces really did not fit well, the glue was sub-standard. If you were good at stuff, you could substitute a better glue, reshape a piece, know what was needed. I never finished one.

Ed recently put together a file cabinet from Staples (big office supply chain) -- he made it work, but it took all day and a lot of bad language. I couldn't have done it and would have had to pay for someone to do it.

Mr. Troutbend had to assemble my raised bed garden kit. It came with 300 screws and lots of pieces of wood, and pretty good instructions, but not entirely.

Just shows what a lot of motivation will do for a person. You were going to get that thing to work, by golly, and you stuck with it to the end.

wasn't going to throw it away ----it cost money

I never had good luck putting the children toys or things together.
Think that you need a master degree for this.
Grandfather did all of the work on Christmas morning'
But to avoid all of this.Buy them a book to read.
You do not have to put anything together but their eyes,

I remember well those Christmas mornings at one am, trying to fit part E into part F. They are not happy memories.

And doesn't it make you mad when the toy doesn't work

You are nothing if not persistent! I am glad you have it working.
