The canvas is three feet wide by two feet high.
Here is the first step (after Gessoing the canvas.) This is all drawing with dark acrylic paint. I don't use a pencil to draw.

Here is the next step. This is after I put in the basic underpaint.

The next step: After it dries, coat the entire canvas with clear acrylic matte varnish. That will allow the paint to flow better once it is dry. Then I will begin painting secondary, or over-colors in the broader areas before I get down to detail.
